Software Development Engineer in Test (m/f/d)

Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services creates digital solutions of the future that help B2B customers to increase their process quality and efficiency, improve customer experiences, act more sustainably or develop new business models. It is based on real-time data from more than 100 measuring points and signals inside and outside of more than 14 million connected Mercedes-Benz vehicles worldwide. This data is used to generate added value for products and processes in companies from a wide range of industries. The Stuttgart-based company has about 70 employees working on the development, operation and sales of digital data-based products.
You will be part of the Engineering & Technology team. We are an experienced and passionate team being in charge to develop and operate data-driven award-winning digital products and innovative IoT services with cloud native microservices for business customers of Mercedes-Benz. We are working agile, delivering new features to our customers with every sprint using our automated CI/CD pipeline, which relies on a fully automated quality assurance.
The following exciting tasks await you:
Assure high quality of our digital products.
Actively contribute to the definition and implementation of our test strategy and concept.
Actively discuss and define the test architecture in collaboration with your architect colleagues.
Systematically derive test cases from user stories and requirements in close cooperation with DevOps engineers, Site Reliability engineers, Support colleagues as well as product owners in our agile team.
Independently implement automated test cases for frontend-, component-, integration-, system- and acceptance tests.
Maintain and improve our framework of automated test scripts.
Assist in selecting and adapting test tools and frameworks.
Conduct test drives in context of acceptance tests.
You are breathing a testing mindset and you are keen on breaking things and finding holes and defects.
You have several years of professional experience in software testing especially in automated Frontend and API testing.
You have deep knowledge in using test tools and frameworks, such as Cucumber, RestAssured, Locust, Gatling, MockServer, and Web UI Test frameworks, such as Cypress, and Test reporting frameworks, such as Allure.
You have good programming skills, for example in Java, Kotlin, Groovy or other Scripting languages.
You have a deep understanding in current standards and technologies, like TCP, HTTP, REST and Kafka.
You have experiences in automated non-functional testing like load and performance tests, recovery tests and resilience tests.
You have basic knowledge about the Azure cloud.
You are eager to learn new methods and technologies.
You have achieved ISTQB certification foundation level or higher.
You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
You have a valid driving license for passenger cars in Germany (class B or higher).
