Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d)

Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services creates digital solutions of the future that help B2B customers to increase their process quality and efficiency, improve customer experiences, act more sustainably or develop new business models. It is based on real-time data from measuring points and signals inside and outside of Mercedes-Benz vehicles worldwide. This data is used to generate added value for products and processes in companies from a wide range of industries. The secure and responsible handling of data is hereby the basis for the acceptance of services around connected driving. The Stuttgart-based company has about 75 employees working on the development, operation and sales of digital data-based products. 

About our Engineering & Technology Team: We are an experienced and passionate team developing and operating data-driven and award-winning digital products, as well as innovative IoT-Services with cloud-native microservices for business customers of Mercedes-Benz. We have an agile work ethic with the goal of delivering new features to our customers with every sprint by using our automated CI-/CD-pipeline, relying on a fully automated quality assurance. 

The following exciting tasks await you:

Assuring high availability of our digital products in front of our customers.

Running and monitoring our digital products in the cloud.

Maintaining and enhance our CI/CD pipeline.

Shaping and enhancing our developer platform, used to develop our digital products.

Analyzing and solving problems arising in our development and production environments in a blameless culture.

Contributing to reviews and sharing your knowledge with the team.

Your profile

Breathing an agile, cloud native and DevOps mindset.

Good understanding of IT Security and cryptography.

Knowhow to run solutions 24/7.

Passion for automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Familiarity with microservice and event driven architectures as well as distributed systems.

Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, K8s Operators and Containers.

Familiarity with modern technologies such as Flink, Nifi and Kafka.

Knowhow to use and tweak tools like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Opsgenie and Datadog.

Experience in GitOps and running a CI/CD pipeline.

Motivation to learn new methods and technologies.

Fluency in English, German is a plus.
