New data packages to tackle engine idle times and driving status.
To offer fleet operators with own system and our partners even more options, we are pleased to introduce the release of two new data packages aimed at optimizing vehicle usage and reducing operational costs. Our latest additions to an already comprehensive portfolio of data are the data packages "Trip idling" and "Driving status", both tailored to provide important insights into vehicle performance and status.
Addressing a common fleet management challenge.
The introduction of these data packages is a direct response to customer feedback regarding the high costs associated with vehicle idling during a trip among others. For example, it's not uncommon for air conditioning engines to remain active even when vehicles are stationary, resulting in unnecessary fuel and energy costs for fleet owners. By providing detailed idling data, we can now offer a solution that can help customers make more informed decisions and improve their bottom line.
About the new data packages.
"Trip idling": Data to minimize idle times.
Understanding that engine idling is a significant contributor to fuel and energy costs, we have developed this data package. This service aggregates data at the end of each trip, highlighting where the vehicle was stationary with the engine running. It carefully records the start and end times of the journey as well as the duration of the idling sessions and the total idling time, giving a clear picture of the idling times for each trip.
"Driving status": Real-time updates on driving status.
This data package offers real-time updates on the current status of a vehicle, distinguishing between driving, idling, and parking. The status is automatically refreshed upon detecting any change, thanks to predefined triggers. This immediate data flow is ideal for visualizing vehicle statuses on maps or incorporating the data into custom trip analysis.
Availability and activation process.
Both data packages are aimed at fleet operators and our partners within our fleet products ‘connect your fleet’ and ‘connect your business’. They can be easily activated via the interfaces and thus enable the integration of the data into our customers' own systems in order to serve their individual use cases and form the basis for new innovative products and solutions relating to fleet management.
